Tchoban Foundation – Museum for Architectural Drawing

At the end of 2009, the Tchoban Foundation was established not only with the aim of sustaining a general interest in the art of architectural drawing but actually expanding it and above all presenting the masterworks of this genre to a wide public. It sees its purpose first and foremost to promote the craft and value of architectural drawing as an art. It aims to enable those interested, lovers as well as specialists from the field and architecture students not only to study masterworks of the genre but also to marvel them. To this purpose, the Foundation presents exhibitions of excellence from renowned public and private collections and loans its own treasures to important institutions worldwide. The Foundation juxtaposes contemporary architectural drawings with works by great draftsman of past centuries and at the same time keeps the tradition of the hand drawing alive in our computer-driven present.

The Tchoban Foundation – Museum for Architectural Drawing publishes its own catalogues to accompany the exhibitions. Elaborately designed by the Berlin-based office Heimann + Schwantes the catalogues appear as a series in the same format and design code.
